🐝 Busy Bees (3–5 Years)

Our Busy Bees room is located upstairs and is designed to prepare children for a confident and successful transition to primary school. The program combines structured learning experiences with plenty of opportunities for play, creativity and exploration.

Each child participates in daily one-on-one learning with an educator, allowing us to tailor activities to their individual needs, strengths and interests. Using engaging resources such as educational games, worksheets, iPads and our interactive Smart Board, children develop essential literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills while building confidence in their learning.

Throughout the day, children enjoy a variety of group learning experiences. Our daily calendar time introduces concepts such as the days of the week, months of the year and seasons, while our School Readiness program reinforces the alphabet, phonics, number recognition and counting (including counting forwards and backwards to 20), shapes and colours.

To encourage confidence, communication and social development, each child has a special Show & Tell day where they can share something meaningful with their friends. This helps children develop public speaking skills, build self-esteem and practise listening and turn-taking in preparation for school.

At Footprints, we believe children learn best through play. Our Busy Bees program balances intentional teaching with play-based learning, giving children opportunities to investigate, create, collaborate and discover while developing the skills they need for lifelong learning.
